NoteSharer respects intellectual property rights and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines how we handle copyright-related matters on our platform.

2. User Content

When sharing content on NoteSharer:

  • You must own or have permission to share the content
  • Properly cite and attribute sources when using others' work
  • Respect academic institutions' intellectual property policies
  • Do not share copyrighted materials without authorization

3. Copyright Claims

If you believe your copyrighted work has been improperly used on NoteSharer, you can submit a copyright claim. Your notice should include:

  • Description of the copyrighted work
  • Location of the infringing material on our platform
  • Your contact information
  • Statement of good faith belief in the infringement
  • Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury

4. Our Response

Upon receiving a valid copyright claim:

  • We will promptly investigate the claim
  • Remove or disable access to infringing content if necessary
  • Notify the content uploader
  • Take appropriate action on repeat infringers

5. Counter Notices

If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter notice including:

  • Identification of removed content
  • Statement under penalty of perjury
  • Consent to local federal court jurisdiction
  • Your contact information

6. Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy to terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are charged with repeatedly infringing the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.
