NoteSharer respects intellectual property rights and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines how we handle copyright-related matters on our platform.
2. User Content
When sharing content on NoteSharer:
- You must own or have permission to share the content
- Properly cite and attribute sources when using others' work
- Respect academic institutions' intellectual property policies
- Do not share copyrighted materials without authorization
3. Copyright Claims
If you believe your copyrighted work has been improperly used on NoteSharer, you can submit a copyright claim. Your notice should include:
- Description of the copyrighted work
- Location of the infringing material on our platform
- Your contact information
- Statement of good faith belief in the infringement
- Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
4. Our Response
Upon receiving a valid copyright claim:
- We will promptly investigate the claim
- Remove or disable access to infringing content if necessary
- Notify the content uploader
- Take appropriate action on repeat infringers
5. Counter Notices
If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter notice including:
- Identification of removed content
- Statement under penalty of perjury
- Consent to local federal court jurisdiction
- Your contact information
6. Repeat Infringers
We maintain a policy to terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are charged with repeatedly infringing the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.
